OUR EXPERTISE / BILL DISCOUNTING
Bill discounting.
Keep the cash cycle moving.
Waiting for customer payments can constrain the next order. KJK helps Coimbatore businesses prepare receivables-funding discussions around eligible invoices, buyer acceptance and payment terms.
The funding conversation at a glance.
THE BUSINESS PURPOSE
Cash tied up in identified, accepted business receivables
PREPARE THE PICTURE
Buyer acceptance, invoice ageing, due dates and existing assignments
WHAT THE PROVIDER ASSESSES
Buyer and invoice acceptability, charges, recourse and settlement terms
THE OPPORTUNITY
Start with the receivable, not just the invoice total
Bill discounting can bring forward cash against an eligible trade receivable under a provider’s arrangement. The buyer, evidence of supply, acceptance, due date, existing charges and any dispute affect the discussion. Map those facts before comparing the net proceeds, charges and obligations.
The aim is a well-prepared conversation: a clear purpose, realistic assumptions and an organised view of the information that matters.
WHEN THE CONVERSATION MATTERS
Different situations.
A relevant starting point.
Illustrative business requirements to help frame your enquiry.
01
Accepted domestic invoices
Explain the underlying supply, buyer acceptance, contractual payment date and the evidence supporting the receivable.
02
Recurring business supplies
Map the pattern of invoices and collections, customer concentration and any existing receivable assignments before considering a repeat arrangement.
03
A collection gap before the next order
Compare the proposed net proceeds and settlement timing with the procurement or operating payment that needs to be met.
04
Export receivables
Separate buyer, country, currency and payment-instrument considerations. An export transaction may need a distinct trade-finance assessment.
BEFORE YOU COMPARE OPTIONS
Look beyond
the headline amount.
A useful comparison starts with the whole arrangement. Ask for clear answers before deciding how to proceed.

01
Purpose & timing
Start with domestic sales with agreed credit terms. Explain the stage, when capital is needed and what happens if the timetable changes.
02
Cost & commitments
Consider interest, funding-provider charges, KJK’s client-paid brokerage or commission, security, covenants and repayment conditions together.
03
Responsibility & next steps
KJK helps prepare and coordinate the discussion. The provider determines its terms and funding decision. Obtain appropriate independent professional advice.
PREPARE WITH CONFIDENCE
Make the first
conversation count.
You do not need to upload documents to begin. A clear business overview helps identify the information needed for the next stage.
01
Invoice ageing, amounts and contractual due dates
Distinguish invoices not yet due from overdue balances and note deductions or disputes.
02
Buyer profile and acceptance or payment process
Explain who accepts invoices, how acceptance is evidenced and who makes payment.
03
Evidence of supply and any dispute or deduction
Identify delivery or service evidence and unresolved commercial issues.
04
Existing receivables assignments, facilities and settlement route
Disclose existing charges or assignments so the same receivable is not presented as unencumbered.
FROM REQUIREMENT TO DISCUSSION
A structured way forward.
01
Understand
A focused conversation about the business, the purpose of capital and the decisions ahead.
02
Prepare
Organise the proposal, key information and assumptions that need to be examined.
03
Coordinate
Bring structure to lender discussions, documentation and follow-up.
04
Move forward
Review the proposed terms and next steps with informed expectations.
YOUR QUESTIONS
Clarity before
the next step.
Is every outstanding invoice suitable?
No. Buyer acceptability, invoice validity, acceptance, payment terms, disputes and the provider’s criteria all matter. Overdue or disputed invoices need a specific assessment.
Is bill discounting the same as a working-capital loan?
No. An invoice-based arrangement is linked to identified receivables, while a broader working-capital facility may cover the operating cycle. Compare the actual structure and obligations.
Is the seller always free of repayment risk?
No. Recourse depends on the specific arrangement. Understand who bears non-payment risk; do not assume every discounting product operates like a TReDS transaction.
Does KJK operate a TReDS platform?
This website does not claim that KJK operates or is an authorised participant in a TReDS platform. Ask about the actual provider and route applicable to your proposal.
Does KJK provide the funding itself?
KJK does not lend directly. We help prepare and coordinate a funding proposal with banks and other funding sources. Approval, pricing, documentation and disbursement remain with the relevant provider.
How are brokerage or commission terms explained?
Clients pay KJK brokerage or commission for facilitation. Ask for the fee basis, payment stage and conditions in writing before proceeding. A website enquiry does not establish credit eligibility.
