OUR EXPERTISE / IMPORT & TRADE FINANCE

Import finance.
Connect trade and capital.

For Chennai businesses procuring from overseas or managing supplier credit, KJK helps organise import and trade-finance requirements around the transaction, currency, payment terms and operating cycle.

The funding conversation at a glance.

THE BUSINESS PURPOSE

Imports, supplier credit and transaction-specific trade instruments

PREPARE THE PICTURE

Supplier terms, currency, shipment milestones and bank arrangements

WHAT THE PROVIDER ASSESSES

Transaction evidence, instrument terms and participating-bank assessment

THE OPPORTUNITY

Make the transaction structure clear

An import requirement involves more than the purchase price. Supplier terms, shipment milestones, currency exposure, documentation and the proposed payment instrument all affect how the transaction should be presented.

The aim is a well-prepared conversation: a clear purpose, realistic assumptions and an organised view of the information that matters.

the headline amount.

A useful comparison starts with the whole arrangement. Ask for clear answers before deciding how to proceed.

Cost & commitments

Consider interest, funding-provider charges, KJK’s client-paid brokerage or commission, security, covenants and repayment conditions together.

03

Responsibility & next steps

KJK helps prepare and coordinate the discussion. The provider determines its terms and funding decision. Obtain appropriate independent professional advice.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Clarity before
the next step.

Is a letter of credit the same as a loan?

No. It is a bank payment undertaking subject to its terms and compliant documents. Related financing may also be required.

Are all overseas guarantees accepted locally?

No. Issuing-bank acceptability, advising arrangements and transaction terms must be examined by participating banks.

Can imported equipment be discussed?

Yes. The published KJK scope includes local and imported equipment, subject to the specific transaction and assessment.

Does KJK provide the funding itself?

KJK does not lend directly. We help prepare and coordinate a funding proposal with banks and other funding sources. Approval, pricing, documentation and disbursement remain with the relevant provider.

How are brokerage or commission terms explained?

Clients pay KJK brokerage or commission for facilitation. Ask for the fee basis, payment stage and conditions in writing before proceeding. A website enquiry does not establish credit eligibility.
